VideoPlayer.ai is free during beta. Every account ships with the free tier and stays on it until paid tiers launch. The free tier is the full product, not a stripped-down trial.
What is included
- 10 GB of total storage
- All access levels (public, unlisted, password, private)
- All embed styles (iframe, responsive wrapper, lite script)
- Captions and transcripts
- Privacy-first analytics, including embed origin reporting
- API access for upload and management
- No ads on videos, no host branding overlay on the player
What is not included
- Custom domain (planned for a paid tier)
- Removal of VideoPlayer.ai branding from the embed (planned for a paid tier)
- Priority transcode queue (planned for a paid tier)
- SSO and SCIM (planned for an enterprise tier)
Per-upload limit
A single upload is capped at 5 GB. See file size limits for guidance on encoding longer or higher-bitrate sources.
What happens at the cap
When your storage usage reaches 10 GB, the next upload is rejected with a "quota exceeded" message. You can free space by deleting videos from your library; storage is freed immediately. If you regularly bump against the cap, paid tiers will give you more headroom; sign up for the launch announcement at [email protected].
What happens after beta
Free tier accounts will keep working. You will not lose access to your videos or data when paid tiers launch. The free tier may change shape (the storage cap may move; some features may move to paid tiers) but existing free accounts will be honored.
