VideoPlayer.ai is a finished product with a dashboard, embed builder, and analytics. Mux is infrastructure you build a product on top of.
VideoPlayer.ai works without writing any code: upload through the dashboard, copy an embed snippet, paste it. Mux requires API integration to upload, retrieve playback IDs, and render the player.
VideoPlayer.ai charges per account once paid tiers launch. Mux is usage-based per minute encoded, stored, and delivered, which can be cheaper or more expensive depending on traffic.
Captions, transcripts, password protection, and embed origin analytics are built into VideoPlayer.ai. With Mux you assemble these from the platform plus Mux Data plus your own code.
